Lockdown Week #6 Ride & Lookout Outlook

Good sensations!

VIDEO: I wasn’t sure if I’d find much good coming out of this lockdown business, but as the weeks grind on, I’m finding fitness on my bike better than recent years.

The good news is that I’ve finally broken through the early season training grind to report three days of “good sensations” on the bike – a complete shift from last week’s video check in.   This ride took me up Cypress Mountain to the first lookout (@ 440m elv.), one of our local training climbs and a treat to ride with no traffic. The sunny skies made for spectacular views of the city, and for a while I forgot all about the covid crisis.

I hope you’re all safe and sane as we grind it out. Join us at PEZ any time you need a break – Pez.

The views from the first lookout on Cypress Mountain are pretty good on a day like this, and when it’s completely clear you can see all the way to Mt. Baker in Washington State.

I started PEZCycling in 2002, because I thought reading about pro cycling’s biggest and best races and rides should be as much fun as actually being there. I still do.
