100Copies CYCLINGO takes apart the cycling lingo that brings us together

100Copies Cyclingo returns after more than a half a year since we’ve seen a cycling-inspired 100Copies print from Singapore artist Thomas Yang, with several life-changing months thrown in there. Since the onset of the pandemic, Yang has taken time to reflect on cycling, and decided to boil down that jargon, slang, curious phrasing, and cycling-specific language that ties us all together on the bike…

100Copies #45 – CYCLINGO

The result his 45th print in the 100Copies series is titled CYCLINGO – an illustrated glossary of the cycling terminology that reveals the cyclists beneath. Call it a “quick guide to talking like a cyclist” or just a reflection of how we view the world from a different perspective.

“However adverse our conditions may get, the key to breaking through it all is to keep facing forward. To keep those legs moving. To keep going.

And when armed with the right knowledge, there’s no storm that we can’t ride out.

While all our bikes may not be going anywhere right now, you can still embark on a journey in your own home – through a wide-ranging glossary of cycling lingo.

After all, any rider can go from A to B.

It takes a special kind of rider, however, to go from A to Z.”

As always, Cyclingo is limited to just 100 hand-stamped & numbered prints, with under half remaining right now. The 2-color, A1 840 x 594mm (~33×24″) offset lithographic print is on archival 220g recycled Maple White paper, and sells for $90 plus international shipping.
