Ventum NS1 adds more affordable mechanical build, plus free smart trainers & 10% back in the U.S!

If you’ve waited until now to purchase a smart trainer, you may be out of luck. The sudden influx of people riding out their coronavirus shelter-in-place days in their homes has nearly wiped out the stock of the most popular smart trainers out there. But thanks to Ventum’s Stay Home Stimulus Plan, you’ll not only be riding a new smart trainer, but you’ll also be rolling on a brand new bike – like the new NS1 Mechanical.Advertisements

The Ventum “Stimulus Offer”is limited to the U.S., but it includes both a free Saris M2 smart trainer (or similar $499 value) and 10% cash back. That rebate is good for 10% of the total purchase before tax and shipping, and comes in the form of a check sent after the Ventum Assurance program time frame ends. That’s the 30 day period you have to decide if you like the bike or not. If you don’t like it, send it back before 30 days with no questions asked and you’ll be refunded the purchase price minus the cost of the trainer, which you now own. If you do like it, then you get the 10% rebate check mailed to you after the 30 day period ends.

The program is valid on all stock bikes until May 1st, including the new NS1 Mechanical. As a refresher, the NS1 is Ventum’s UCI legal aero road bike. In addition to the aerodynamic tube shaping, the frame is capable of running up to 30mm wide tires, and is built using a silicon EPS carbon manufacturing process.

When it first launched, the word affordable couldn’t be used anywhere near the NS1 as the framesets started at $5,000. While the Ventum NS1 custom builds still start at $6,900, Ventum just shattered their entry price point by introducing a mechanical build which starts out at just $3,199.

At that price you’ll get a Shimano 105 mechanical drivetrain with hydraulic disc brakes and Vision Team 30 alloy wheels plus an FSA alloy cockpit.

There’s also an upgrade available to the ENVE Foundation 45 carbon wheels which bumps the price up to $3,999 – but not a bad upgrade for $800.

All of the Mechanical builds are available in six sizes and three different colors. Check out Ventum’s site below for more on both the NS1 Mechanical, and the Stay Home Stimulus Offer.
