Campagnolo Bora WTO 33 offers multi purpose aerodynamics for rim or disc brakes

Campagnolo is rounding out their Bora WTO line with a new 33mm option. What’s WTO? That’s Campagnolo’s acronym for Wind Tunnel Optimized, or a wheel that is designed to help cheat the wind. This new Bora WTO 33 is the lowest profile option in the WTO line, but according to Campy, it still offers noticeable aero benefits compared to a non-optimized wheel.Advertisements

After their 77, 60, and 45mm wheels, the 33 uses a rim profile that is 33mm deep, and has a 19mm internal width. When combined with the elliptical cross sections spokes in a G3 spoke pattern, the wheel package is said to save around 7.5 at 45 km/h “compared to a wheel that is not wind tunnel optimized.”

Built with their USB ceramic bearing hubs, the rims also include their 2-Way Fit tubeless technology. This allows for the use of standard tube-type tires or road tubeless.

Available in rim brake or disc brake versions, the disc brake option will be sold in their Dark colorway, while the rim brake version also gets the Bright option. Both will retail for 2,160€ and are available now.
