Nordest Miranda Ti titanium adventure road bike builds up all-day, all-road comfort

Titanium road bikes have always been known for all-day comfort, making it the perfect material for the explosion of modern wide tire, endurance all-road bikes. Nordest’s Miranda Ti adventure road bike looks set to build into the ideal endurance platform to explore those roads less-travelled.Advertisements

Nordest Cycles’ latest affordable titanium bike is the new all-road Miranda Ti. Built as a fast & comfortable all-road bike with endurance geometry, Nordest says it’s ready for adventure just by strapping on some bikepacking bags. While the Albarda Ti is their no-holds-barred titanium gravel adventure bike, the Miranda Ti still has room for up to 32mm tires. Pick a set of fast-rolling road slicks to stick mostly to asphalt & hardpack, or throw on some file tread cross tires for more mixed-surface adventure riding.

Miranda Ti – all-road geometry

Geometry for the Miranda is a little steeper than Nordest’s gravel bike with a 71° head angle to balance riding on any surface, but it’s shorter 408mm chainstays & much shorter wheelbase should keep handling quick on tarmac.

Miranda – Tech details

The non-nonsense disc brake Miranda frame is built-to-order in Taiwan from double-butted 3/2.5 titanium tubing, with a standard threaded BB, 27.2mm seatpost, 44mm headtube, and full-length external cable housing. The great benefit there, is that there’s a lot of flexibility. That means buyers can add extra bottle bosses under the downtube, on the toptube, as well as rear rack mounts for no additional charge!

All-road tire clearance is generous, up to 700c x 32mm tires for both the ti frame and matching tapered steerer, full-carbon fork. The Miranda can be built up with a mid-compact double (max 53/36T chainrings) with a 31.8mm band clamp front derailleur, or as a 1x drivetrain with up to a 46T single ring.

The frameset features flat mount brakes, 12mm thru-axles, and includes a replaceable derailleur hanger. Claimed frame weight is 1750g (56cm).

Nordest Miranda Ti – Pricing & availability

\"Nordest

The Miranda Ti is available in five stock sizes (50-58cm), plus a custom geometry option for a 150€ upcharge, with a 10 week delivery time after order confirmation. Stock sizes for the frame alone sell for 1400€, or 1704€ for the frame kit that includes ti frame, carbon fork & a Chris King InSet headset, all with free EU delivery.

But what about a steel Miranda?

Nordest typically develops a new bike first in steel to iron out final geometry & details before putting it into production. But then, sometimes they introduce the new bike in either titanium or steel first, adding the other option at a later date. No official word yet on when, but Nordest has teased a steel version on social media, confirming that it is in the works too, likely at their typical ~600€ steel frame pricing.
